Enochian Invocation

he called me his angel,

and perhaps I read into it too much

but I have met

an angel

and they are not soft

or sweet

or sublime

there is a reason divinity pleads

be not afraid,

little one

the real angels, the biblical angels

seraphim, cherubim, paragon of virtue

all eyes, all energy,

all fire, all fury

angels of the blue flame

and perhaps I read into it too much

but condemning me to sanctity

was the only truth he ever told.
